Logan Talbot
Of Counsel

Logan Talbot is Of Counsel with The Liu Law Firm. Mr. Talbot is an experienced lawyer and has represented workers in a wide range of employment issues. He focuses on wage and hour violations, employment discrimination, employment contracts and agreements, and whistleblower retaliation. Mr. Talbot has represented workers for unpaid wages and civil rights violations, including survivors of workplace sexual harassment and discrimination.

Mr. Talbot has litigated cases in federal and state court across the country, including appellate litigation. He has successfully represented a broad range of clients against small and large employers, including restaurant workers, farm workers, and skilled trade workers. Mr. Talbot is committed to fighting for dignity and fairness in the workplace.

Prior to joining The Liu Law Firm, Mr. Talbot was an associate with Bryan Schwartz Law in Oakland, CA, where he litigated multi-million dollar class actions on behalf of employees in the financial, insurance, and healthcare industries.
* Mr. Talbot was also a civil rights fellow with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, where he litigated sexual harassment and discrimination cases. While at the Department, Mr. Talbot developed the legal strategy against Airbnb after empirical research found widespread racial discrimination on the company’s online platform, which resulted in a voluntary agreement between the Department and Airbnb that provided for monitoring, testing, and training to prevent future discrimination.

Mr. Talbot is an active member of the legal community and regularly attends conferences and events related to employment law. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the California Employment Lawyers Association, and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the California Lawyers Association. Mr. Talbot has also co-authored amicus briefs on behalf of the California Employment Lawyers Association for matters before the California Supreme Court.

Mr. Talbot received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was selected as a Harry S. Truman Scholar. Mr. Talbot earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2014. During law school, Mr. Talbot clerked at the Southern Poverty Law Center, where he played a key role in developing an innovative legal strategy against a conversion therapy (“pray-away-the-gay”) program—resulting in a landmark jury decision that found conversion therapy to be fraudulent and unconscionable under a state consumer protection law.

Mr. Talbot has been named as a Northern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2020 and 2021.  Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
